Until 3rd August the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi invites visitors and residents to take advantage of the ultimate Retail Abu Dhabi (RAD) Rewards experience, with deals and promotions taking place across the capital.
There are plenty of reasons to join in the fun, with the chance to win prizes totalling AED 5 million, including AED 1 million in cash, an AED 1 million waterfront apartment in Yas Island, luxury cars, gold, shopping vouchers and much more.
It's easy to be in with the chance to win the prize draws, by spending a minimum of AED 200 in the 1,300 outlets in the 21 participating malls in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
Here are the top RAD Rewards activities to make this summer your best yet.
#1 Art Lab Pop Up
While parents are shopping for their favourite items, the little ones can get creative and pick up new skills at My City Centre Masdar’s Art Lab pop up. Kids can get involved with a range of activities, including glass painting, tape art, straw painting, thumbprint painting, flower making, quilling and yarn art. The range of artistic workshops will run from 4pm until 10pm Sunday to Wednesday and from 4pm until 11pm Thursday to Saturday.
#2 Cruising through the week
Children ages 4 to 12 can recharge at a relaxing summer cruise-themed activity, happening every Thursday to Saturday from 5pm at the Main Atrium of Deerfields Mall. Parents can also take advantage of 10% off at Kidoos entertainment for fun-filled kids parties.
#3 Family day out in Al Ain
From 1st July until 9th August, experience the ‘Around the World Festival’, giving visitors from around the globe a chance to explore other cultures at Bawadi Mall in Al Ain. Those who want to get in on a bit of retail therapy can jump on the summer sales, as well as have the opportunity to win prizes. Ten lucky customers are selected daily to win prizes and gifts up to the value of AED 500, and each Friday shoppers have a chance to walk away with a grand prize of AED 200,000.
#4 Instagrammable walls and themed flower installation
In several malls across the emirate, DCT Abu Dhabi has installed beautiful Instagrammable walls, offering shoppers the opportunity to snap a photo and win AED 5,000 shopping vouchers during weekly draws. Participation is easy - simply tag @RetailAbuDhabi and #RetailAbuDhabi on Instagram, and sharing your shopping experience by tagging your friends.
A bed of sunflowers welcomes visitors to Al Wahda Mall, inviting them to take pictures in front of the beautifully decorated backdrops. The unique summer-themed installation represents the beauty of nature, the highlight being a beautiful sunflower castle in the main atrium of the mall with bursts of bright sunflowers hanging from the ceiling throughout the building.
#5 Become a ‘Millionaire’ or win an AED 1 million waterside apartment
Line Investments & Property LLC is running its ‘Mall Millionaire’ campaign as part of RAD Rewards, giving shoppers at their malls the chance to win AED 50,000 each week as well as a grand prize of AED 1 million at the end of the summer sales.
At Abu Dhabi Mall, shoppers can join the ‘scratch and win’ contest when they spend AED 200 or more, with a chance to win shopping vouchers up to the value of AED 5,000.
City Centre Mall has weekly prizes of AED 5,000 throughout the seven-week campaign, with an incredible grand prize of a Chevrolet Tahoe worth AED 169,600.
Aldar Properties PJSC (Aldar), as part of the RAD retail initiative, invites customers to their malls to shop and have the chance to win a stunning AED 1 million waterside apartment. The malls include Yas Mall, The Mall at World Trade Center Abu Dhabi, Al Jimi Mall and Remal Mall. The Aldar malls are also offering visitors the chance to win weekly giveaways worth AED 80,000.
